Global Cues:
Wall Street extended gains for the second straight day — S&P 500 (+0.32%) and Nasdaq (+0.14%) hit new closing highs. Sentiment was supported after steady US CPI data and US Treasury Secretary Bessent’s call for a 50 bps Fed rate cut in September. Bond yields eased (US 10Y -6 bps to 4.23%), Brent crude softened to $66, and the Dollar Index slipped to 97.7.

Geo-Political Watch:
A Trump–Putin meeting in Alaska tomorrow could be a key turning point for Russia–Ukraine ceasefire talks, with markets watching for any breakthrough.
