The index held firm above 24,347 despite minor dips, indicating sustained buying interest in select heavyweights. Bank Nifty mirrored the positive trend, bouncing from 54,927 to end at 55,510, marking a strong close above the 55,500 mark.

Sector-wise, the day belonged to PSU Banks, Realty, Healthcare, Infrastructure, and Auto, in that order of strength. Almost all major sectors ended in green, with Nifty Media at the bottom of the chart, still managing a mild 0.16% gain. On the stock front, Adani Enterprises, Tata Motors, and Eternal led the Nifty gainers, while Hero MotoCorp, BEL, and Bharti Airtel were among the key losers. Stable global cues and positioning ahead of crucial domestic CPI and US inflation data helped keep sentiment constructive.

Market Outlook

With Nifty closing near the day’s peak, the short-term structure remains supportive as long as it holds above 24,421, which acts as the first important support. Further cushions are placed at 24,257 and 24,168. On the higher side, resistance levels are pegged at 24,674 and 24,763, with a breakout above these opening the door to 24,927. Bank Nifty’s immediate support lies at 55,097, with a deeper base at 54,684, while resistance is positioned at 55,752 and 55,994.

Derivatives positioning shows Nifty’s PCR at 0.99, reflecting balanced market sentiment, while Bank Nifty’s PCR at 0.76 suggests some cautious call writing. Max Pain for Nifty stands at 24,600 with heavy call OI at 25,000 and 24,700, and maximum put OI at 24,400 and 24,500. Bank Nifty has its highest call OI at 57,000 and put OI at 55,000, with Max Pain at 55,900. India VIX remains subdued at 12.22, indicating low volatility in the near term.

The overall bias stays mildly positive, with focus on sectoral strength in PSU Banks, Realty, and Auto. Stock-specific action could remain dominant as traders position ahead of key macroeconomic data releases both domestically and globally.

["post-16875","article","type-article","status-publish","hentry
["GET
